Every year, the Arizona Multihousing Association (AMA) Lyceum Leadership class is required to do a service project as part of the program.  Typically, they organize a group service project at a food bank, cleaning-up a neighborhood, or volunteering at UMOM, an organization providing the homeless with shelter and services.

In light of the pandemic, the group had to pivot and get creative. Knowing its community had been impacted hard, they decided to turn their efforts toward a blanket drive to benefit local charities in Phoenix and Tucson. The group collected 97 new blankets for Tucson Homeless Connect and 489 for UMOM New Day Centers in Phoenix.
