Mental Health First Aid Training Programs
The National Council’s Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program is widely viewed across North America as the premier mental health awareness training for individuals and corporations eager to provide lay-person support to family, friends, and co-workers in emotional distress. MHFA is a course that teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The National Council has trained more than 3 million individuals through this program, which has been officially recognized by the U.S. Senate.
