Since the start of 2023, NAA Government Affairs team members have attended over 150 fundraising events and helped strengthen relationships with key congressional allies on both sides of the aisle. Notably:  

  • Greg Brown attended an event for Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-N.C.-10), the Chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services, where he was able to highlight our legislative priorities for the 118th Congress and thank the Congressman for his past support of our issues.
  • Maria Spencer attended fundraising events for Reps. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.-5) and Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.-5) and thanked both members for leading efforts to reintroduce H.R.4606, The Choice in Affordable Housing Act.
  • Jodie Applewhite joined an event for Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.-11), where she recognized his leadership in introducing H.R. 802, Respect State Housing Laws Act.
  • Jason Lynn attended an event honoring Rep. Mike Flood (R-Neb.-1), where he thanked the Congressman for being the lead sponsor of H.R. 3507, Yes In My Backyard Act.
