HHHunt Apartment Living, a division of HHHunt Corporation, announced several promotions as part of its strategic growth initiative. LaCole Gadson will assume the role of Director of Operations, Melinda Dunford has been named Regional Property Manager, and Mendy Sink will become Community Manager for Foxridge Apartment Homes. Gadson has been with the company for 11 years and previously served as a Senior Regional Property Manager for HHHunt Apartment Living’s Region 4, which encompasses six communities in South Carolina. As Director of Operations, Gadson will be responsible for overseeing stabilized and lease-up operations for the company’s 21 apartment living communities in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Dunford has been with HHHunt for almost 25 years and previously served as an Area Manager. In her new role as Regional Property Manager for HHHunt Apartment Living’s Region 4, she will oversee the operations for the division’s South Carolina communities. Sink, working at HHHunt for 22 years, will move from the Associate Community Manager position at Foxridge Collegiate Apartment Homes in Blacksburg, Va.

Institutional Property Advisors, a division of Marcus & Millichap, announced the hiring of a top investment sales team out of Tucson, Ariz. Clint Wadlund and Arthur “Art” Wadlund have joined the firm’s Tucson office. Clint and Art, Senior Vice President and Senior Managing Director respectively, will be accompanied by their support team Lisa Ringo and Krista Ying. Art’s professional history includes being a founding member of Hendricks & Partners, now known as Berkadia. Since Clint joined Art in 2013, the Wadlunds have completed over 170 transactions valued at more than $3.5 billion. In addition to Arizona, the team has transactional experience in New Mexico and Texas. 

AHV Communities, San Antonio

Spencer Rinker      Chief Investment Officer and President of Homebuilding

AHV Communities announced the strategic reorganization of its leadership team, an effort aimed to align with the company’s robust growth and long-term initiatives. Spencer Rinker, a Founding Partner, has been named Chief Investment Officer and President of Homebuilding. Gene Kim, also a Founding Partner, has been promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer. In his new roles, Rinker will focus on executive management of AHV’s investments and the national expansion of its in-house homebuilding operations. Prior to co-forming AHV Communities in 2013, Rinker served as a Principal in the multifamily group Greenlaw Partners. In his new position, Kim will oversee all company operations, asset performance, property management, best-in-class design and programming, technology and more. Previously, he was with Greenlaw Partners and Sicuro Realty Partners. 

The NRP Group, Cleveland

The NRP Group announced it has named Jennifer Baus and Rachel Johnson as Principals in the firm. Baus, who currently serves as Executive Vice President of Design and Entitlements, directs all activities related to horizontal and vertical design and entitlements and oversees all project management for NRP’s development team. Johnson, who currently serves as Chief Information Officer, leads all aspects of technology, including infrastructure, networking, IT operations and security, software business solutions, building technology and innovation. Johnson joined The NRP Group as an Asset Manager in 2010 and was quickly promoted to Chief Information Officer. Baus joined NRP in 2005 as a Project Manager for affordable housing development, and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Design and Entitlements in 2020. Prior to joining The NRP Group, Johnson served as Vice President of Operations for the Commercial Construction Real Estate Lending Division at AmTrust Bank. Johnson began her career at Ernst & Young as a Tax Accountant, but soon transitioned to a software consultant role developing custom applications.

Seth Otey      Vice President     ZRS Management      Orlando, Fla. 

ZRS Management has announced Seth Otey has joined the firm as Vice President to oversee its portfolio in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. He joins ZRS as a counterpart to Senior Vice President Luanne McNulty to oversee a team of 1,200 professionals that manage 60,000 units in key markets throughout the United States on behalf of various institutional clients, partnerships and individual owners. Otey joins ZRS with more than two decades of property management experience and fills the position left by Darren Pierce who was promoted to company President. Most recently he was President of Property Management for TriBridge Residential. Prior to joining TriBridge in 2015, Otey worked with some of the largest multifamily firms in the country including Landmark Residential and Greystar. 

Larry Bellack      Executive Vice President     Resident Interface      Tampa, Fla. 

Resident Interface announced Larry Bellack has joined Possession Partner as Executive Vice President. Bellack joins the Possession Partner team from Reva Technology, where he was CRO and Vice President of Sales. Bellack was charged with the development of disruptive technology for the multifamily industry at Reva. As President of Mobile Doorman, Bellack guided the go-to-market sales strategy of custom, white-label apps for multifamily communities nationwide. At The Rainmaker Group, Bellack was at the forefront in bringing industry-changing revenue management technology to multifamily and demonstrated why it was a must-have for all owner/operators. 

Matt Graves      Chief Operating Officer     Valet Living      Tampa, Fla. 

Valet Living has promoted Matt Graves to Chief Operating Officer. Previously Division Vice President of Standards and Experience, Graves will maintain oversight of this group in his new role and continue to lead the field Operations group. Graves joined Valet Living in 2017 in a consulting capacity, leading numerous projects focused on labor cost and process improvement within the operations organization. Prior to joining Valet Living, Graves held several consulting and director-level positions within the automotive and service industries focused on new service implementation, regional operations leadership, acquisition integration and process improvement. 

Anne-Marie Niklaus     President     Berger Rental Communities      Wayne, Pa. 

Berger Rental Communities announced Anne-Marie Niklaus has been promoted to President. Niklaus, who was most recently Chief Operating Officer, brings with her over 30 years of multifamily experience. She steps into the role in the company’s 50th year and at a time of strategic growth. Dan Berger, who previously held the position of President, will transition to CEO. As COO, Niklaus oversaw the management and overall operations of Berger’s portfolio of 40 apartment communities with approximately 10,000 units across Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. Prior to Berger, Niklaus was a Senior Vice President of Community Management for Balfour Beatty Communities. 

Tracie Yoder      Managing Director     RangeWater Real Estate      Atlanta 

RangeWater Real Estate has hired Tracie Yoder as Managing Director overseeing property management in the Southwest Region. Yoder will oversee operations and business development across Sun Belt states including Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Texas. Yoder began her multifamily career in 1989 and has worked in property management for top national multifamily companies including Greystar, U.S. Residential, Riverstone Residential, Barvin and Avenue5. Yoder currently is in her second year as Vice President at Large for the Houston Apartment Association. She’s also a Texas Apartment Association Alternate and National Apartment Association Delegate. 

Scott Durst      Vice President of Operations     Mary Cook Associates      Chicago 

Mary Cook Associates announced hospitality design veteran Scott Durst has joined the firm’s executive leadership team as Vice President of Operations. In this role, he will direct and oversee all business operations and strategic initiatives and ensure MCA’s values and mission are consistently met across the organization. Most recently, Durst spent eight years as Director of the Hospitality Interior Design Studio at The Gettys Group, where his work included notable projects such as the Boston Godfrey Hotel, the Renaissance Allentown, Blackstone Hotel Chicago, the Royal Sonesta Chicago and World of Wine in Portugal. Durst’s 17 years in the industry also include architectural design project management positions at London firms PLP Architecture and KPF Architecture as well as Steelman Partners in Las Vegas.

Israel “Izzy” Carunungan brings 20 years of multifamily experience to his new position as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Client Success at LCP360. Carunungan leads an exciting batch of new hires for LCP360 including sales veterans Naomi Bailey and Edgar Jaro. Carunungan will be spearheading LCP360’s branding, marketing and customer experience initiatives with his expertise in the multifamily and real estate categories. He was previously the Sr. Director of National Marketing for Greystar. He was also in previous high-level marketing roles with Bozzuto and TGM Associates and is a founding member of the National Apartment Association’s (NAA) Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee. 

Bailey, who joined LCP360 as the Vice President of Sales, is a seasoned multifamily industry partner with 20+ years of experience in Southern California and national markets. She previously worked at Parcel Pending, Valet Living and Ellis Partners/Renters Voice. Bailey’s primary focus is helping clients achieve their objectives and supporting the process from start to finish. 

Jaro is a seasoned sales professional with over 20 years of extensive hospitality and restaurant industry experience and has joined LCP360 as a Senior National Account Executive. His focus is primarily on strategic business planning, networking, account management, and relationship building. He is a four-time President’s Club recipient with NuCo2 and a President’s Club winner with Restaurant Technologies, where he was the Diversity and Inclusion Co-Chairman. He is a founding member of Stand Up 8, a nonprofit organization promoting fitness and health.

Tim Siegman, a veteran real estate finance professional with more than three decades of experience, has joined TruAmerica Multifamily as Chief Financial Officer. Siegman joins TruAmerica after 13 years serving in the role of Chief Accounting Officer at JRK Property Holdings. After graduating from California State University, Northridge, Siegman spent eight years at Kenneth Leventhal & Co. Siegman then entered corporate real estate as Director of Finance for Westfield Corporation. Siegman’s career also includes senior management roles at The Mills Corporation and American Realty Advisors. 

Charles Brindell     Executive Chairman     Mill Creek Residential      Boca Raton, Fla. 

Mill Creek Residential announced the retirement of Charles Brindell, the company’s Executive Chairman. Bill MacDonald, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mill Creek Residential, will maintain his current role and assume additional responsibilities as Chairman upon Brindell’s retirement. A Wilmington, N.C., native who graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1971, Brindell was associated with the Trammell Crow family and its affiliates for 28 years prior to the founding of Mill Creek. He served as President and CEO at Trammell Crow Residential prior to the formation of Mill Creek, which he and a group of TCR senior partners initiated with a founding investment from the Trammell Crow family and a large state public pension.
