ARLINGTON, Va. | May 2, 2024 – The National Apartment Association Education Institute (NAAEI) was recognized this week for 15 years of service to DECA, a global organization that “prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges.” The award honored NAAEI’s efforts on the organization’s National Advisory Board, serving as the voice of business, education and operations for rental housing.

“Attracting and developing the next generation of rental housing professionals is at the core of NAAEI’s mission and work,” said NAA President and CEO Bob Pinnegar. “Our longstanding and collaborative partnership with DECA is essential as we work to introduce young professionals to careers in rental housing as they prepare to enter the workforce.”

The award was presented at DECA’s annual High School International Career Development Conference, held in Anaheim, Calif. this week with a record 23,000 attendees.

“Over the past 15 years, NAAEI’s work with DECA has introduced both college and high school students across the country to the vast opportunities that await them in residential property management,” said Vice President, NAAEI, Pam Weber. “NAAEI thanks our colleagues at DECA for their generous award this week and their continued collaboration.”
