North Texas Market Is White-Hot
Digested from “North Texas real estate market is one for the records”
The biggest sector in the booming North Texas market of Dallas-Fort Worth continues to be apartments. With 30,000 units in the works, the area seems primed for growth, especially in West Dallas. Thanks to its new link to Uptown, the bustling neighborhood has already seen a boom in real estate that is expected to continue with both residential and retail construction.
Frisco also is on the rise, courtesy of the new Dallas Cowboys headquarters.
The market could falter should any downturns occur in the energy sector, which is fueling much of the economic growth in the area. The relocation of Toyota Motor Corp.’s North American headquarters from Southern California to West Plano, Texas, should help provide more stability in the years ahead, though.
This is the area's biggest real-estate boom since the 1980s.
