What If Your Member Of Congress Worked At An Apartment Community?

Congress Apartment Community

He’d know how to vote on policy issues that impact the apartment industry. But members of Congress don’t always know what it takes to own and manage apartments. So how can they understand how issues before Congress impact you before they vote on them?

You have a unique opportunity to educate them about how apartments work. All you need to do is invite your members of Congress to tour your apartment community when Congress is in recess from Aug. 2 through Sept. 7.

Give them a tour of an apartment home and the community’s amenities. Show them where some of the 2.3 million industry members work and let them meet and speak with your staff. Introduce them to your residents – some of the 35 million Americans who call apartments home. Help them understand our vibrant, dynamic $1.1 trillion industry.

Your apartment tour will take less than an hour, yet it will reap dividends that will help strengthen the apartment industry’s voice on Capitol Hill for years.
