Walker & Dunlop, Inc. announced it has hired Kelly Mitchell as Managing Director based out of the company’s headquarters in Bethesda, Md. With over 10 years of industry experience, Mitchell will drive outreach to the firm’s large, institutional clients, both foreign and domestic. Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Mitchell was a Senior Director of Multifamily Structured Transactions with Fannie Mae.

Walker & Dunlop, Inc. has hired John Ducey as Affordable Chief Production Officer. Ducey will lead Walker & Dunlop’s affordable housing financing efforts across all capital sources, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and private capital providers as the company seeks to expand its affordable lending footprint across the United States. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, he served as Director of Multifamily LIHTC Equity Investments at Fannie Mae.

Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC has appointed Ward Frisby as Development Director in Ireland. Frisby will support Greystar’s ambitious growth plans in Ireland by managing its growing development pipeline and delivery of new multifamily assets in and around Dublin. He will report to Claire Solon, Managing Director – Ireland, and join a team of 50 development professionals across Europe with 7,849 units underway across seven markets.

In-home services provider Amenify Corporation announced Howard Behr has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Behr has spent 20 years in the multifamily industry and was most recently President at Lapa Lopa, a technology-enabled cleaning service company. Prior to Lapa Lopa, he served as an executive at RealPage and NWP Services where he led Product, Operations and Sales & Marketing to scale the business footprint to over 2.5 million units.

 

Bill Kay   •   Managing Director of Capital Markets   •   Ashcroft Capital   •   New York

Ashcroft Capital announced the addition of Bill Kay as Managing Director of Capital Markets. Kay will lead all capital markets activities at Ashcroft, with a focus on equity relationships with institutional investors such as real estate funds, endowments, foundations, major insurers, sovereign wealth funds, pensions and family offices. Prior to joining Ashcroft, Kay held senior leadership roles at Lubert-Adler Real Estate, Apollo Global Management, Morgan Stanley AIP and others.

Newmark has announced the promotion of Richard Holden to President of Property Management. Holden will guide Newmark's Property Management service line. He will employ a continued focus on increasing efficiencies for operations and service for assets across the commercial real estate sector. Prior to joining Newmark in 2019, Holden held roles as an Executive Vice President at commercial real estate consulting firm Davis Partners.

Lincoln Property Company (LPC) has announced the addition of Candace Weaver to Assistant Vice President, Client Services. Based out of Raleigh, N.C., she will be tasked with growing Lincoln’s third-party management portfolio across the country, with a focus on the Eastern United States. Prior to joining LPC, Weaver was the Director of Digital Marketing at Bell Partners. Her industry experience extends to her role as Director of Marketing at Bainbridge in addition to her 12-year stint at RentPath as a Strategic Account Manager.

JPI announced the addition of Mollie Fadule as the firm’s new Chief Financial & Investment Officer. In her role at JPI, Fadule will lead the finance, legal, and investment and capital markets teams. Fadule joins JPI with more than 15 years of experience in real estate, private equity, and real estate and construction technology. In 2012, Fadule and JPI CEO Payton Mayes founded Cephas Partners, a private equity firm that specializes in alternative investments. Prior to founding Cephas Partners, Fadule served as Vice President of Real Estate Principal Investments at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

 

Benjamin Slad   •   Senior Vice President of Investment   •   The Laramar Group   •   Chicago

The Laramar Group has promoted Benjamin Slad to Senior Vice President of Investments. He is based in the company’s Chicago office. Slad joined The Laramar Group in 2004 and, in recent years, has been responsible for acquisitions, portfolio management, dispositions, asset management and investor relations. Over his 17-year tenure with the company, he has been involved in completing transactions totaling more than 18,000 multifamily units with a market value of $1.8 billion. Prior to joining Laramar, Slad was a Project Coordinator at Imperial Realty Co. in Chicago.

 

Jordan Calaguire   •   Head of Revenue   •   Kasa   •   San Francisco

Kasa announced Jordan Calaguire has joined the real estate team as Head of Revenue. Calaguire will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Kasa's growth strategy, including establishing real estate partnerships to source and secure unit inventory in the hospitality and multifamily sectors. Calaguire spent 15 years at Walton Street Capital advising on and implementing investment strategy. Throughout his career, Calaguire has executed over $5 billion in real estate transactions across the multifamily, hospitality, office, industrial and single-family rental sectors.

 

Aaron Anderson   •    Head of Multifamily Strategy & Partnerships   •    Kasa   •    San Francisco

Kasa announced real estate veteran Aaron Anderson has been added as Head of Multifamily Strategy & Partnerships. Anderson's focus will be developing and executing Kasa’s strategic multifamily growth plan. Multifamily communities are the cornerstone of Kasa's short-term rental inventory and Anderson will be tasked with expanding national partnerships with multifamily owners, operators and developers.

Brixton Capital has hired Craig Boone as Asset Manager. He will serve as Brixton’s primary representative in Texas, where Brixton plans
to significantly expand its portfolio of multifamily properties. Boone is responsible for execution of the strategic plans for all Brixton’s multifamily assets under management in Texas and throughout the Western states. Prior to joining Brixton Capital, Boone was most recently with Lument Capital. Previously, Boone worked for Hunt Companies, Inc. as Asset Manager for its Hunt Military Communities.

BKV Group announced Trace Jacques, AIA, CID, joined the Minneapolis practice site as Partner and Senior Architectural Designer, with an emphasis on hospitality. Jacques will lead and collaborate with the firm’s hospitality team to further develop its portfolio and reputation as an industry leader. A nationally recognized architect, Jacques holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Minnesota, where he was also an Adjunct Instructor and Guest Juror for several years.

BKV Group announced David Banta, AIA, as Senior Living Lead for the Washington, D.C., practice site and Associate Partner. Banta comes to BKV Group with more than 35 years of experience, much of it dedicated to senior living. In his new role, he will continue to grow BKV Group’s senior living portfolio and purposefully design spaces that meet the distinct needs of older adults. Banta frequently presents to national and international audiences through myriad speaking engagements and serves as an active participant in the AIA Design for Aging Knowledge Community, Environments for Aging Conference and American Seniors Housing Association.

BKV Group announced Collin Koonce, LA, LEED AP BD+C, as Landscape Architecture Lead for the Dallas practice site and Associate Partner. Koonce has designed a range of public and private exterior spaces over the course of his 12-year career. These include large-scale mixed-use developments, outdoor amenity areas for individual residential and commercial buildings, urban-scale parks, streetscapes, plazas and culturally significant sites for the American Battle Monuments Commission abroad, Wild Horse Pass Master Plan and Thanks-Giving Square in Dallas.

 

Shelley Kiley   •    Vice President of Operations   •    Rinnai America Corporation   •    Peachtree City, Ga.

Rinnai America Corporation announced Shelley Kiley has joined the organization as its Vice President of Operations. Kiley’s extensive knowledge will help Rinnai continue to grow and expand manufacturing capabilities in North America, including overseeing the completion of its new manufacturing plant in Griffin, Ga. In addition, Kiley has assumed responsibility over all functional areas in manufacturing, supply chain, distribution and logistics. Kiley has cultivated deep experience throughout a 30-year career, having most recently spent three years leading a team of 650 within the supply chain and global operation strategy teams at Larson-Juhl.
