Mike Mahoney joins the Investment Team as SVP of Capital Markets for Bonaventure. Mahoney has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Bonaventure, he worked with several large investment management firms including Voya Investment Management and Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

Troy Garrett joins Bonaventure Construction as SVP of Production. Garrett is a construction and manufacturing executive with over 25 years of experience in the commercial construction and system pre-fabrication industries. Previously, he was CEO of Kovach and Executive Vice President of The Weitz Company. Garrett will lead Bonaventure’s design and build strategy to bring new properties on-line with greater efficiency and at a reduced cost.

Tricia Peters joins Bonaventure as the Director of Strategic Marketing.  Peters is a marketing and communications executive with over 20 years of experience working with leading multifamily, financial services and healthcare organizations.  Peters previously worked with Greystar as the Director of Corporate Communications and prior to that as Greystar’s Director of Marketing.

 

Kelly Ryan  •  Director of Membership  •  New Jersey Apartment Association  •  Monroe Township, N.J.

Kelly Ryan has been promoted to Director of Membership for the New Jersey Apartment Association. She has been with the NJAA for five years. In her role, she directs the organization’s membership recruitment efforts, onboards all new members, engages with NAA on national membership initiatives, and manages the publication of NJAA’s membership magazine, among other projects. Ryan has been in the field of association management for 15 years.

 

Sarah Shaw  •  Education Manager  •  New Jersey Apartment Association  •  Monroe Township, N.J.

Sarah Shaw, who manages the Association’s education classes, is now the Education Manager. She has been with NJAA for three years. In her role, she recruits instructors from across the nation; helps set curriculum; guides members through the national designation and continuing education credentials process with NAA; and manages a number of the organization’s digital efforts. Over the past year, Shaw directed the Association’s quick shift to online classes in response to COVID-19 regulations.

The Breeden Company, the nationally recognized Virginia Beach-based real estate development firm, has promoted Bonnie Moore to Director of Operations for the Multifamily and Commercial Real Estate divisions. Moore will have the primary responsibility of overseeing the departments’ operations, property inspections, compliance regulations, vendor/contract negotiations, maximization of NOI and ensuring overall operational strategies are adhered to.

Campus Advantage, an industry leader in student housing property management, consulting, and investment management, has hired student housing veteran, Beth Pinder, as Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, Pinder will provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that Campus Advantage has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

 

Anastasia Gillen  •  Director of Client Services  •  Greystar  •  Chicago

Anastasia Gillen has joined Greystar’s Midwest team as the Director of Client Services. Prior to joining Greystar, Gillen was an Assistant Vice President with Redwood Capital Group in Chicago. Gillen started in real estate on the value-add fund series team with LaSalle Investment Management. Gillen earned her political science degree from Brown University.
