The resources are designed to help the rental housing industry survive and thrive through the pandemic and beyond.

The COVID-19 Rental Housing Support Initiative, sponsored by Yardi, involves four organizations—Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM); National Apartment Association (NAA); National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM); and National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC)—that came together to build a series of solutions in key support areas to help the industry survive and thrive through the pandemic and beyond.

The resources are organized in four areas of support: Mental health, liability, education to legislature and industry facts.

The Mental Health Resource Library is divided into four focus areas: Coping with isolation; learning resiliency; managing anxiety; and financial stress.

The Liability Resource Library features guidance for business continuity, business reopening and maintenance. NAA members also can also access a comprehensive e-book, Employer’s Guide to COVID-19 and Emerging Workplace Issues.

Support resources focused on educating policymakers offer data for our country’s decision-makers to quickly digest the importance of more support for rental assistance and foregoing any extension of the eviction moratorium.

The section dedicated to industry facts includes a quiz about rental housing to help distinguish fact from fiction, an infographic offering six smart reasons to rent and a video breaking down $1 of rent.
