Yoga on the Lawn Energizes Alliance Residential’s Residents

Residents amenities
April 2018

It’s no stretch to suggest that yoga is one of the leading activities among apartment residents. Alliance Residential is serving this group of residents by providing an invigorating experience through outdoor “yoga on the lawn” classes at some of its communities as part of its overall fitness package.

Broadstone communities provide this amenity at various times throughout the week.

Broadstone Arts District in Phoenix has been offering monthly fitness classes since opening March 25, 2017. Each month, it rotates classes ranging from Bootcamp classes in its fitness center, Pilates in its flex space and yoga by the pool.

Broadstone Arts District partners with Epic Fitness to professionally instruct a wide variety of fitness classes. It also has hosted a class with the owner of a popular, in-town yoga class, Bird Dog Pilates.

Broadstone’s Canvas room is a large “flex” space that can accommodate a substantial number of people. There, it sets up inflammable candles, music and chandelier lighting, which makes for a relaxing session in the indoor/outdoor facility.

The typical size for a class is 15 people. Early-evening exercise events Tuesday through Thursday are the most popular time slots. The community has seen success by holding classes from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday, which finish up before a brunch begins in its clubhouse.

Alliance Residential promotes the class via its resident email blast, in onsite newsletters and flyers and through social media, including Instagram and Facebook.

Several other Alliance communities offer outdoor yoga classes if space allows.
