NAA Strategic Plan Created, Work is Underway
This year NAA has embarked on a three-year strategic plan, as created through a 12-person task force comprised of owners and operators, industry supplier partners, association executives and NAA Past Chairmen of the Board. I have the privilege of serving as Chair for this exciting experience.
So far, we have made significant inroads toward achieving aspects of this plan, which intends to raise the profile of NAA and the rental housing industry through our Vision: A world where rental housing is a valuable partner in every community.
The strategic plan also set forth our Mission: that NAA serves as the preeminent resource through advocacy, education and collaboration on behalf of the rental housing industry.
Our Values, articulated in the Strategic Plan, include:
Integrity—adhere to high ethical and professional standards and sound business practices
Accountability—account for our activities, accept responsibility and communicate results in a transparent manner
Collaboration—promote the interests of rental housing by fostering communication and sharing knowledge
Community Responsibility—commit to enhance the greater community by promoting the vital role rental housing plays in social, cultural and environmental sustainability
Inclusivity—embrace an atmosphere of respect and opportunity
Innovation & Adaptability—anticipate and create innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our stakeholders
Going forward this year, I will use this blog to touch on various aspects of the plan.
Among our Objectives is to define the NAA Stakeholder, create a Stakeholder-Oriented Culture, be recognized as a Thought Leader, Promote Corporate Responsibility, Identify New Markets, Support Affiliate Partners, Establish Adequate Financial Reserves and Diversify Revenue Streams and of course, Help Owners and Operators Manage Their Business Efficiently and Effectively. I look forward to sharing our progress with you.
