ARLINGTON, VA | November 4, 2020 – The National Apartment Association (NAA) released the following statement from Bob Pinnegar, NAA President and CEO, regarding the 2020 elections:

The National Apartment Association (NAA) is closely following the 2020 election results and welcomes the opportunity to work with the next Administration and members of the 117th U.S. Congress to ensure the unique needs and challenges facing the apartment industry are addressed with responsible, sustainable policies. Housing is a foundational issue for every American and the 40 million people who call apartments home – alongside the 17.5 million jobs supported by the industry – deserve the full attention of our elected leaders.

We look forward to moving ahead and continue our calls for swift passage of critical COVID-19 relief legislation, including a robust rental assistance program. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is fueling our nation’s housing affordability crisis and no immediate relief is on the horizon. Our elected officials must address the needs, concerns and challenges of rental housing providers and renters alike to stabilize the future of America’s housing.
