NAA Grassroots Engagement: Use Your Voice!

| Updated

2 minute read

As we enter 2021, the National Apartment Association (NAA) is working to bolster its advocacy efforts to make an impact on policy priorities that affect the rental housing industry:

  • NAA’s Key Contact Program is a vital part of our advocacy efforts. In order to better track the relationships that our members have with elected officials across the country, we have created a new Key Contact Survey. Please encourage your members to fill out this survey if they have relationships with legislators.
  • NAA has launched a grassroots campaign aimed at the recently extended CDC eviction moratorium and how it has affected the industry. We ask that all members use this alert to share their stories with the NAA. As we get closer to Advocate, we will ask members to share their stories with Congress. Your participation can help shift the debate in Washington.
  • Registration for Advocate 2021 is now open! NAA’s Political Affairs team will distribute a webinar that will explain best practices for holding virtual meetings with members of Congress. We will also have more tools available to link up with Hill schedulers and track meetings.
  • We will be launching new website updates soon. These enhancements will include advocacy-related updates that will encompass new tools, new content and a new look to ensure our members can effectively reach their legislators and have a comprehensive experience when participating in advocacy. NAA will look to create a “one-stop-shop” for all things advocacy!
