Making an impact has never been easier with NAA’s property tour how-to’s in the new Grassroots Action Center.
Just as you do with potential residents, one of the best way to show the importance of the apartment housing industry is by inviting your elected officials to tour your property. Apartment tours give federal, state and local legislative officials a chance to meet with their constituents and develop an understanding of the impact of apartments on the community and the implications of public policy on the industry. Legislator tours are a chance for developers and managers to communicate in a hands-on manner the issues of greatest concern for NAA members.
Individual apartment tours should be initiated and organized in conjunction with NAA. Everyone has a role in ensuring that the time an elected official spends on your premises helps tell an effective story about the industry’s concerns. Even if you’re not responsible for coordinating the tour, you can still contribute to its success.
