7 Tips for Creating the Best Apartment Website

Best Apartment Website

Digested from Property Management Insider

Apartment websites are 24/7 virtual leasing offices. A 2015 SatisFacts survey found that almost 80 percent of apartment hunters will check out an apartment community’s website before contacting the community.

John Gorman, vice president of marketing solutions at RealPage, offers these seven tips for creating the most engaging apartment websites.

1. Through images and words, present the personality of the property.

2. Be authentic about what the community and the units offer. Overselling any aspect will turn off potential residents.

3. Use professional photography and focus on the kitchen. It might be tempting to photoshop out an exit sign, but don’t. Remember tip 2: authenticity.

4. Provide detailed floorplans with square footage for each room. For higher end properties, consider professional 3D floor plans so potential residents can better understand the unit’s flow.

5. Communicate the value proposition of the unit and community. What are the amenities inside the community and out (nearby shopping, attractions, etc.)?

6. Provide an interactive site map of available units. Potential residents might become interested in a more expensive unit because they understand the value of its location.

7. Make sure your website conforms to your branding. If the branding changes, then so must the website.
