RKW Residential has announced the arrival of Gerardo Gato as Executive Vice President of Finance. Gato, who is based in RKW’s Miami office, has more than two decades of business experience across multiple industries. Prior to joining RKW, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Monument Capital Management. Before that, he was the CFO and Controller for major real estate investor and developer Adler Group and its subsidiaries and real estate holdings.

Sabrina DeLorme   •   Regional Manager   •   RKW Residential            •   Miami

RKW Residential continues to expand its South Florida team with the addition of Sabrina DeLorme, who will be based in the firm’s Miami office. DeLorme, a new Regional Manager with RKW, brings 20 years of experience across the Florida and Georgia markets. In her new role, she oversees a portfolio of communities across South Florida. After starting her career with Trammell Crow Residential and continuing during its transition to Riverstone Residential, DeLorme served as Regional Supervisor for Fairfield Residential.

Chantal Renaud   •   Regional Manager   •   RKW Residential   •   Miami

RKW Residential has promoted Chantal Renaud to Regional Manager, and she will be based in Miami. Renaud has more than 15 years of experience leading property operations for garden, mid-rise and high-rise assets. Her promotion to Regional Manager for RKW means Renaud oversees operations for a portfolio of communities throughout the region. Prior to the promotion, she oversaw the RKW-managed Seabourn Cove in Boynton Beach, Fla. Before joining RKW, Renaud worked with Greystar and Alliance Residential Group.

Yaw Opoku-Boakye   •   Northern Virginia Regional Property Manager   •   Bonaventure   •   Alexandria, Va.

Yaw Opoku-Boakye is the newest member of the BPMS leadership team. He joined Bonaventure as the Northern Virginia Regional Property Manager with 15 years of property management experience. Opoku-Boakye has worked for industry partners such as Home Properties, Bell Partners, The Bernstein Companies and most recently Acento Real Estate. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and was a member of the property management internship program.

Darlene Donovan   •   VP  of Operations and Business Development   •   Embrey Management Services   •   San Antonio

Darlene Donovan has been named Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Embrey Management Services. She brings more than 30 years of operational leadership experience to the job and specializes in evaluating and maximizing asset performance, new construction development and leasing, financial analysis and underwriting and due diligence review. Her management expertise includes a variety of asset types from conventional, high-rise and mixed-use to affordable and senior housing and REO/receivership, with most of her career spent in Houston.

Ken Valach   •   Chair   •   National Multifamily Housing Council   •   Washington, D.C.

The National Multifamily Housing Council elected Ken Valach, CEO of Trammell Crow Residential, to serve a two-year term as the Council’s chair at its annual meeting. Following the last two years of the pandemic, financial distress and overall volatility, Valach is focused on how the Council can help lead the industry into the new world created by the generational disruption caused by COVID-19. His top priority is to lead the search to replace Doug Bibby, who has led NMHC for 20 years but will step down in January 2023. Additional priorities include housing affordability, human capital, diversity and inclusion, the regulatory environment and political unity.

Nicki Guadalupe   •   Vice President of Property Management   •   Dominium   •   Plymouth, Minn.

Dominium has promoted Nicki Guadalupe to Vice President of Property Management. Guadalupe joined Dominium in November 2018, bringing with her 20 years of experience in multifamily property management. In her new role, based in Houston and Dallas, she will manage Dominium’s 41 Texas properties, as well as other properties that Dominium adds to its portfolio in the state.

The Peabody Companies is pleased to announce Robert Fine of Rockland, Mass., as Director of Accounting. He has direct overall responsibility for both the financial and reporting obligations of each of the firm’s portfolio operations. Duties include the review and monitor of accounting department practices to assure maximum operation efficiency and productivity and implementation of improvement strategies. Fine joins the Peabody Companies with 30 years of public and private accounting experience, most recently as an assurance director with CohnReznick in Boston. Previously, he was a real estate controller with Community Builders in Boston.

Meaghan Zambrano has joined Valet Living as Vice President - Experience. She will be responsible for overseeing and creating consistently positive and impactful experiences for residents, clients and associates. Prior to joining Valet Living, Zambrano worked in the financial services sector for over 15 years and covered a range of various positions from working in fraud, collections, and being an underwriter to managing a call center, working in business support operations and developing a customer experience team from scratch. Zambrano will be based in Newark, Del., supporting the corporate headquarters and the broader Valet Living team nationwide.

Matt Guilford has joined Valet Living as Vice President—Marketing. He will be responsible for brand and messaging, lead management, communications, strategic positioning and market insights. Prior to joining Valet Living, Guilford led marketing for several industry-leading companies, both publicly traded and private equity-backed. Notable assignments included marketing lead for Sea Ray Boats, Bayliner Boats and ATW, a $1 billion-plus Bain Capital holding. Guilford will be based in Frisco, Texas, supporting the corporate headquarters in Tampa, Fla., and the broader Valet Living team nationwide.
