Life is a Lot Better When You Like Where You Work

For many of us, we spend more of our hours awake with our bosses, colleagues and clients than we do enjoying time with our families and friends. And with that in mind, many organizations are taking great strides to improve the lives of their employees by making changes to work environments, corporate communications and many other aspects of business. This in turn has been proven to drive employee engagement.

According to a Gallup study written about in the Harvard Business Review, organizations with a high level of engagement report 22% higher productivity but that’s not where the benefits end! Those highly engaged organizations also have lower absenteeism and turnover, between 25% and 65% lower, and a higher quality of work with 48% fewer safety incidents and 41% fewer quality incidents (defects).

Announcing the NAA Best Places to Work Awards

That is why we are proud to announce the inaugural year of the NAA Best Places to Work Awards. This new program will recognize NAA member organizations that are creating an environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and hard work. The awards pay tribute to successful suppliers and management companies that contribute to the industry and a flourishing economy.

With the help of the Business Intelligence Group, a neutral third party, we have designed this program to recognize the industry’s top employers. Each nominee will solicit employees to complete a very concise employee satisfaction survey based on the Net Promoter Scores (NPS). Once this data is individually compiled, it will be compared to others in your category to determine the winners and finalists.

But There is Way More Value than Just a Trophy

What’s unique about this program is that all nominees, win or lose, will receive an employee satisfaction report and all of the anonymous employee raw data. With this data in hand, organizations can pinpoint areas of strength and weakness and then come up with plans to improve. Members who complete this survey every year can also use this initial data as a benchmark to measure the impact of future changes.

To nominate your organization for a NAA Best Places to Work award, you must complete a simple nomination form, which includes a brief company profile, and make payment. All nominations are due by February 28, 2020 and finalists will be notified by May 15, well before the official awards ceremony at Apartmentalize on June 18.

Contest rules, sample surveys and all the deadlines are available by requesting the nomination guide. We look forward to seeing you accepting a Best Places to Work Award in Boston!
