How to Create Stories to Move the Hearts, Minds, and VOTES of Lawmakers

People have trouble remembering facts, but they never forget a good story. Lawmakers are no different. Effective advocacy appeals to the heart – as well as the head and political health – of the legislator. Participants in this webinar will:

  • Learn the seven key elements of public policy story-telling from the best storytellers around – Hollywood;
  • How to organize and present the facts around a central narrative structure; and
  • Walk through an exercise to develop their own personal story to move the hearts, minds, and VOTES of lawmakers.

Presenters: Brad Fitch, President and CEO, and Susie Gorden, Vice President, Congressional Management Foundation (CMF); and Kathleen Gamble, NAA Director of Political Affairs.
