Fair Housing Design and Construction: A Practical Guide to Ensure Access to Residents with Disabilities and Avoid Costly Lawsuits

Despite successful completion of government and lender-mandated inspections, multifamily properties remain out of compliance of fair housing accessibility requirements and subject to lawsuits that have resulted in multimillion-dollar settlements. For these reasons, NAA has teamed up with Scott Parrish Moore of Baird Holm, LLP, a former senior trial attorney with DOJ's Housing and Civil Enforcement Section of the Civil Rights Division and current Legal Specialist for HUD's Fair Housing Accessibility First to develop industry guidance. During this session, Scott and Mark English, President of E&A Team, Inc. will educate attendees on this important issue and introduce this new NAA resource.
