Dee is Sr. Color Marketing Manager, PPG Architectural Coatings, North America developing the color platforms for merchandising and professional specification tools for all PPG’s brands, including, PPG Paints, Sico, Dulux, Olympic, Pittsburgh Paints & Stains, and Glidden Paints sold at stores, The Home Depot, Menards, and independent dealers. Dee collaborates with the international designer, Vicente Wolf and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation in developing color palettes and stories for our brands. She initiated and is a key member of the PPG Global Color Styling Team that researches and forecasts colors for the architectural market globally in addition to the automotive, aerospace, consumer products, and industrial markets. Dee has given hundreds of color presentations nationally to design professionals and consumers on trends in nearly every architectural segment. Dee is the media color spokesperson for PPG’s paint brands.
Dee loves the study of color preferences. Color selection can be subjective; however, color preferences and trends are not random. What we are drawn to is a result of societal influences, lifestyle and demographic filters that bring certain colors to the surface. It’s what drives PPG’s forecast approach. Every color selected has validation – and Dee shares how it’s done in her presentations.
