Greensboro, N.C.-based Bell Partners has increased its holdings beyond its predominantly East Coast and Southwest properties with the acquisition of Horizons at Rock Creek outside of Denver. Bell Partners purchased the 1,206-unit community for $250 million and will rebrand it as Bell Flatirons.

The 17.46-acre complex is in Superior, Colo., 22 miles northwest of Denver, and includes amenities such as pools, a beach, a fishing pond and a clubhouse. The clubhouse has basketball and racquetball courts, a movie theater and a gym. The garden-style community features one- and two-car-garage townhomes and apartments.

The acquisition is the third deal in 2015 for Bell Partners and one of Colorado's largest single multifamily deals ever. The company also purchased Village Summit in Raleigh, N.C., and Estancia in Austin this year.
