NAA's lobbyists and issue experts take a deep dive into the issues currently facing the rental housing industry, making even the most nuanced policy issues digestible for all attendees. You will be seated by region in order to hone your newly minted advocacy skills. You will leave with the tools and confidence to convey how potential federal legislation stands to impact you and the industry.

Keynote Speaker: Henry Cisneros

Co-chair of the Bipartisan Policy Center's Immigration Task Force, former HUD Secretary and housing innovator, Henry Cisneros, is a testament to American leadership, diversity and community building. His vision of a strong, resilient society starts with fair housing and stretches beyond race and class.

Cisneros' books include Latinos and the Nation’s Future, Interwoven Destinies, and Urban Real Estate Investment: A New Era of Opportunity. Recipient of the Habitat for Humanity Visionary Award, He was inducted into the National Association of Homebuilders' "Builders Hall of Fame." The former President and COO of Univision and the co-founder of Latino Donor Collaborative, he serves on the advisory boards of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Broad Foundation and the National Hispanic University, and has appeared on Fox, The Charlie Rose Show and CNBC.

Advocate's Lobby Day headquarters will be just steps from the U.S. Capitol from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is home to the Lobby Day Materials Center until 10 a.m. We are returning to a favorite from last year, the Florida House, where NAA Government Affairs staff will be on hand to answer any last minute questions. Meet with your fellow advocates over a continental breakfast or refuel between meetings with snacks and beverages. This historic venue is the perfect place to debrief the staff with your newly acquired insider information.

All Lobby Day participants who complete the Meetings Feedback survey on the Advocacy365 app and/or stop by the Florida House will be entered to win an Apple Watch!
