Pam Shelton’s inspiring career path demonstrates a property management career’s potential.
Keys to a golf cart, a site map for an 1,145-unit property and instructions to go forth and lease apartments. It only took a couple of minutes, but that was the sum total of Pam Shelton’s apartment industry education when she started work at her first community in 1975.
More than 25 years later, she and her husband, Tom Shelton, CPM, CAPS (2003 NAA Chairman of the Board), are partners with Vicki Allison in Phoenix-based Allison-Shelton Real Estate Services, which manages more than 15,000 rental units in Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Florida and Utah.
