Trade Shows Work

Student Housing Approaching and San Diego 73% Sold Out
As a marketing medium, trade shows offer an efficient opportunity to cultivate new business, connect with existing customers and to get your company name in front of a larger audience.

There are several exhibiting opportunities for your company to consider: NAA Student Housing Conference in February in Las Vegas is shaping up to deliver a focused, quality audience. There are booth and sponsorship opportunities available.

The NAA Education Conference and Exposition has experienced a 65% growth in the last three years. We continue to invest in programming and data mining .to deliver a quality audience. For San Diego, the NAA Exposition is 72% sold out. See the floor plan here. See the 2012 Boston highlight video here.

For June, based on attendee feedback, we have expanded the Exposition hours and continued the co-location NAA Maintenance Mania National Competition. Check out the highlight video of the
2012 MM competition

Free Appointment System - myNAA Planner
We are working on free service to attendees and exhibitors for June. The service will allow all to review the attendee list and make pre-event outreach to schedule private meetings with each other within the myNAA Planner.

2013 NAA Education Conference Call for Presentations
If you are interested in being involved in the education program for June, please see the Call for Presentations information
here. Please note that there are education sessions being organized for suppliers. Supplier Success is a new proposed track specifically designed for attendees employed by our supplier partners. This is an opportunity for the supplier professionals  to hear some ideas and best practices that can help deliver an even better product or service to the industry.

Making Connections

Margaret Core, Assistant Vice President, Strategic Sales Initiatives met with 15 NAA NSC member and sponsors mostly in their offices. So for Margaret, this meant 19 travel days, 15 flights, six rental cars and some opinions about hotels! What did she learn?

I was fortunate to be so welcomed in supplier members and sponsor offices! I am very, very impressed with the National Supplier Council and Sponsor community.  There is a high commitment to the overall health of the multifamily housing community in addition to providing great service and products to the apartment managers and owners.

I learned more about the professional job functions that are needed to operate apartments including insights into leasing agents, marketing professionals and the areas of ancillary revenue, revenue management, technology and more.

Thank you to Apartment Guide, Apartment Finder, AT&T Connected Communities, AZUMA Leasing, Appliance Warehouse, Coinmach, Comcast, CORT, Criterion Brock, HD Supply, Home Depot, PPG, Rent.com, Time Warner and Yardi for your insights and commitments to the apartment industry.  I will be on the circuit some more visiting with more in the next few months.

Margaret

National Suppliers Council (NSC)

We agree that the Supplier is an important liaison to the multifamily housing industry. The NAA National Suppliers Council is a group of 180 (and growing) suppliers to the multifamily housing industry that invest in a premium NAA membership. By joining the NAA National Suppliers Council, these suppliers have a commitment to the NAA mission, the health of the overall apartment industry and support and networking with others.  You can find the NAA NSC featured  in your monthly Units magazine or online in the NAA Buyers Guide

Many of the NAA NSC supplier member employees have completed the NAA Lyceum, have earned the Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS) designation and/or completed the NAAEI Supplier Success program. The National Suppliers Council and the additional education all support best practices to maximize partnerships with apartment owners, apartment management companies and apartment association members

Here is a list of the NAA NSC Council.
