That's a lot of potential residents actively looking for information on everything from interior design trends to best neighborhoods to live in to hottest area restaurants, as well as basic news coverage.
Apartment communities can capitalize on this thirst for knowledge with well-crafted tweets. Marketers should strive for an even balance between original, curated and educational content to address the interests of a wide variety of potential residents. Many marketers are likely already engaging in original content—responding to issues, promoting community events and wishing happy holidays to all—but what other items can be shared?
Curated content can be sourced from local news sources and relevant businesses or organizations. Move-in checklists, local sports team news, restaurant openings and home-cleaning tips are just a few items that new renters may find helpful. Educational tweets can serve a similar purpose, but more targeted toward a specific apartment community or experience. For example, potential residents may be interested in learning more about the personality and lifestyle your community offers. Give insights into who lives and works at your property, and what the amenities look like in use.
Consider hosting contests as well to curate content from residents or engage new renters in different aspects of apartment community life.
