Spreading the Word about Apartment Careers

Wow, I am amazed at the participation we are seeing in this year’s Apartment Careers Month, and we’re only halfway through February. It’s not too late to plan your own activities for Apartment Careers Month. We are seeing many of our affiliates use this month as an opportunity to organize career fairs or to visit with college and high school students about the many career options available in our industry. Many of our corporate partners also are getting into the act by conducting their own job fairs and job shadowing programs.

This week marked the first of two free webinars we will be offering this month. The next will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 29 at 2 p.m. (EST) and feature a discussion on “How to Find that Apartment Job and Ace your Interview.” If you know someone who is interested in working in our industry, encourage them to register for the webinar. The webinar is a great way to learn more about our industry and what industry employers typically look for in new hires.

In the meantime, please take a look below at some of the Apartment Careers Month activities going on around the nation. If you’re interested in planning your own activity, then please email us at education@naahq.org. We can direct you to some resources that will prove helpful.
