WAY Outside the Beltway: House District Directors on the DOs and DON’Ts of In-State Meetings

In partnership with NAA, the Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) provides insights from members of Congress’s district directors about meetings at home in this 9-minute video.

The video explains the results of a survey that among others, shows that the Number One way members of Congress understand constituents’ views and opinions is by attending events in the district or state.

Among the many insights, in-district directors request:

“No last minute requests.”

“Avoid inviting the media without first gaining approval.”

Learn more do’s and don'ts by viewing the video.

NAA is a partner in CMF’s Partnership for a More Perfect Union.
