When An Apartment Is a 'Home' 

In more and more of the company's marketing materials, the word apartment has been replaced by home, according to Mike Beirne, Executive Vice President, The Kamson Corportation, Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

“This might sound crass, given our industry’s ongoing competition with the home builders, but given the new way of looking at our industry with the mortgage crisis fallout, we simply call them homes—not apartments,” Beirne says.
