NAA welcomed three Brazilian apartment executives to its offices in December to learn more about apartment investment and management opportunities in the United States.
The group visited Kettler and Bozzuto communities in the Arlington, Va., area and were hosted by Kettler’s Cindy Clare, CPM, President, and Bozzuto’s Julie Smith, President.
“Brazil is in need of 7 million apartment homes in the coming years to satisfy demand,” NAA President and CEO Doug Culkin says. “The Brazilian group was able to learn more about the multifamily housing rental market in the United States and the opportunities that we could provide in helping their businesses.”
NAA, which named Pinnacle President Rick Graf, CPM, as its 2012 International Task Force Chair, will participate in the 70th annual national apartment conference in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, in September 2012. It will include apartment professionals from Japan, Australia, Europe and South America, as well. NAA also will return to the Expo Real conference in October 2012 in Munich, Germany.
