Pappas Properties LLC, a Charlotte-based mixed-use and master-planned community developer, appointed Alan P. Dean Vice President of Multifamily Development. Dean leads Pappas’ multifamily housing division from Atlanta and directs its Southeast market operations. Dean previously served six years as a Senior Managing Director for Trammell Crow Residential.
Greystar Real Estate Partners hired Perry Pound as Senior Director of Development. Pound directs development activity in Southern California and Phoenix. Pound previously led the Southern California acquisition and development efforts for Alliance Residential, JPI, BRE Properties and The Olson Company.
BPG Properties appointed Dean Holmes as its Chief Operating Officer of Madison Apartment Group. Holmes manages operations of the firm’s 19,000 units in 16 markets nationwide.
Capstone Real Estate Services promoted Hugh A. Cobb, CPM, to Chief Operating Officer, and Grant Berkey, CPM, to Senior Vice President. Cobb oversees all facets of operations of Capstone’s 33,000-unit portfolio of fee-managed properties. He joined Capstone in 1994.
Berkey continues to hold responsibility for the management operations of Capstone’s Eastern Division, which includes Austin and Central Texas, as well as Capstone’s Commercial Division, the Homeowners Association Division, and the oversight of Capstone Member Services. Additionally, Berkey assumes oversight of Capstone’s Affordable Housing Compliance Department. Berkey has been associated with the management industry and Capstone since 1993.
