Riverstone Residential Group named Loyal Proffitt its Executive Vice President for the company’s South Central Region. Proffitt and his team are responsible for the day-to-day property management operations of almost 16,000 units and business development and client services for the region, which includes Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Proffitt is a 25-year real estate industry veteran who previously was President of Henry S. Miller Realty Management.
Greystar Real Estate Partners hired Jerry Brand as Senior Managing Director. He directs development efforts in the West with his principal focus on Seattle, Northern California, Southern California and Phoenix. Brand spent the past two years leading equity and debt activities for Pacific Property Company and Urban Housing Group. Ali Warner joined Greystar as Managing Director and is located in its San Francisco office. Warner spent the past six years as Vice President of Acquisitions for Urban Housing Group, sourcing multifamily and mixed-use development opportunities in Northern California. Warner continues to focus on development opportunities throughout Northern California and Seattle for Greystar.
Western National Property Management, the multifamily property management division of Western National Group, promoted Julie Manthey to Vice President, Operations, and Nick Alicastro to Vice President of Business Development. Manthey oversees the daily operations of 16,000 units as well as three Regional Vice Presidents and two District Maintenance Supervisors. She has been with Western National since 2007. Alicastro has been responsible for more than six new property assignments with three separate owners while maintaining oversight of a portfolio of over 7,500 units. Alicastro joined Western National Property Management in 2003.
The Collier Companies hired Courtney M. Gaines as its Vice President of Operations. Gaines has more than 14 years of real estate experience, most recently as Director of Management for Westwood Residential, in Frisco, Texas.
Berger Communities hired Veda Williams, CPM, as the Regional Property Manager for the Chester County, Pa., region. She comes with 13 years of experience in conventional multifamily housing.
Rosemary Carucci Goss, Professor of Apparel, Housing and Resource Management in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech, has been reappointed the Residential Property Management Advisory Board Professor by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors. The Residential Property Management Advisory Board Professorship was established in 1995 by members to recognize a teaching scholar in the field of residential property management chosen by the Dean of the College of Human Resources (now the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences).
Yield Technologies hired Brian Burke as Chief Financial Officer. Burke joins the team with focused efforts on Yield Technologies’ leading product RentSentinel. At Yield Technologies, Burke will oversee accounting and financial operations; this includes strategic planning, daily accounting activities and development of financial projections for RentSentinel’s new product lines. Burke previously served as Playboy Enterprises’ Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
J.C. Hart Company Inc., hired Gabrielle Gonzalez, CAM, as its Vice President, Director of Property & Asset Management. A member of the Ball State Residential Property Management Program Advisory Board, Gonzalez began her career in property management in 1992. She most recently worked for NTS Development Company.
