 NAAEI Names Apartment Career and Education Awards

THE WINNERS OF the Apartment Career and Education (ACE) Awards for 2011 are Bill Wollinger, SHCM, CAPS, President and COO of WinnResidential, Boston; and Alexandra Jackiw, CAPS, CPM, President of Buckingham Management LLC, Indianapolis.

ALEXANDRA JACKIW, CAPS, CPM, is a prominent leader in the apartment industry and has dedicated herself to promoting and enhancing career development and education initiatives within the apartment industry. Jackiw is the President of Buckingham Management LLC, a Past President of the Indiana Apartment Association (IAA), a Past President of the NAA Education Institute (NAAEI) and Vice Chairman of NAA.

In addition to being a volunteer leader, she regularly instructs the NAAEI Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) course for IAA and across the nation for NAAEI. Jackiw is a strong advocate for the education of her employees and offers each of NAAEI’s designation programs to her employees through Buckingham’s corporate training program. She is recognized for her passion, dedication and leadership promoting apartment careers among college students and training hundreds of apartment professionals.

BILL WOLLINGER, SHCM, CAPS, President and COO of WinnResidential, is a Past President of the Rental Housing Association of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, a Past President of NAAEI, a Past President of the Virginia Tech Residential Property Management Advisory Board and served twice as Chair of the NAA Education Conference & Exposition Committee.

During Wollinger’s tenure as NAAEI President, he championed a partnership between NAAEI and the National Affordable Housing Management Association to offer a new industry designation for managers of tax credit housing, Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM). Wollinger also sought to improve the quality of the education sessions offered at the NAA Education Conference by having NAAEI manage the development of the education programming through a speaker proposal screening process.

In 2004, WinnResidential was the first company to hold their staff retreat during the NAA Education Conference & Exposition.
