The Rainmaker Group appointed Jack Alexander as Vice Chairman. He oversees strategic markets, partners and products. Alexander previously served as CEO of NextLevel Strategies, which provides private equity and strategic consulting to businesses. The Rainmaker Group also hired Andrew Rains as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Rains has more than 20 years’ executive experience in sales, marketing, customer relations and product direction for service-based companies such as Intuit and Oracle/PeopleSoft/JDEdwards.

Valet Waste named Malinda Wheeler Regional Sales Executive for California, with a concentration on Northern California. She has 15 years’ experience in the apartment industry. Chris Hazlett was promoted to Valet Waste’s Regional Vice President for the East Coast. He oversees the East Coast sales team and accounts in the Carolinas, Florida and the Washington, D.C., area. He joined Valet Waste in 2008 as the Regional Sales executive for the Carolinas.

G5, a provider of local marketing solutions for mid-market companies, appointed Ilene Vogt to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Services. Vogt has more than 30 years of experience in software sales, service and support team leadership. Most recently Vogt was the Executive Senior Vice President of Sales and Services at Accelrys Corporation in San Diego. Karen Kossow was appointed Vice President, Operations/Strategic Development, North America, for Fetch Plus Asia Pacific, a provider of social media and mobile applications for the multifamily housing, real estate, hotel and hospitality sectors. Kossow formerly was Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kettler Management.

Investment advisory brokerage firm ARA, based in Atlanta, hired Chris Colombe for its Dallas brokerage office. Colombe focuses on the sale of development sites and multifamily redevelopment opportunities. He previously was Senior Vice President with the Henry S. Miller Brokerage team.
