• Yardi Systems announced May 5 that it has acquired residential property management software provider DIY Real Estate Solutions. DIY co-founders Don Katt, Steve Lloyd and Alison Cavano will remain with the company. Yardi’s acquisition of DIY adds an integrated property management system designed for companies that manage 1,000 or fewer units. The company will continue to offer Yardi Genesis to small property managers as a work station program. DIY will enable Yardi to provide Web solutions for small property managers.
• RealPage filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on April 29 relating to a proposed initial public offering of shares of its common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not been determined.
