BRE Properties appointed Kevin Grani as Vice President, Property Operations, Northern Division. Grani is responsible for the operations of 28 wholly owned apartment communities, totaling 8,058 units, in the San Francisco Bay area, Sacramento and Seattle, as well as eight joint-venture properties in Denver totaling 2,596 units.
Grani has 20 years of experience in multifamily property management and operations. He comes to BRE from Carmel Partners, where he served as Regional Vice President, responsible for the firm’s California and Hawaii portfolios. Prior to Carmel Partners, he was Senior Regional Manager for Equity Residential, overseeing its 4,500 units in San Diego.
Dominium named James Mitchell its Director of Maintenance and Purchasing. Mitchell previously worked as Director of Facilities Management at CommonBond Communities in St. Paul, Minn.
Drucker & Falk appointed Fred Dean as Business Development Manager for its multifamily fee-management and related services. Dean has more than 30 years’ multifamily management and development experience. A Drucker & Falk associate since 1977, he has served the firm as both a Regional Property Manager and Director of Development. Dean assesses multifamily fee management opportunities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
