2008 PARAGON AWARDS: EDUCATION

Submissions

Use the NAA PARAGON Award Application as a cover sheet for the submission. Please submit one copy of the complete submission.
Submissions will also be accepted online via the form below.
All PARAGON Award submissions in the Affiliated Association Awards category should be limited to one type-written page of description per criteria, and up to 10 pages of sample materials. Each criteria, with criteria title, should be listed on a separate sheet of paper. All materials must be submitted on 8 ½ x 11 inch paper.
Submissions in each category are intended to apply to programs achieved in the previous year, 2007. Submissions may be for one program or series of programs.

PARAGON Award winners are not eligible for consideration again for the same program for 5 years.

General Criteria

All awards will be judged using the following criteria; additional criteria for each award follows:

Goals and objectives of the program (1 page);
Target audience for the program and the size of the target audience (1 page);
Demonstration of program success and how that success was measured (1 page);
Innovativeness of the program (1 page);
Cost effectiveness of the program (1 page);
Correlation of program materials with program goals and objectives (10 pages of materials maximum).

Education Award Criteria

Timeliness of program delivery if in response to an emerging issue (1 page);
Percentage of target audience reached by the program (1 page).
Suggested entries include NAA designation programs, special seminars, workshops and panels,and professional development programs

Please describe the Goals and Objectives of the Program you are submitting. Our judges will review these goals when reviewing the entirety of your submission to evaluate the success in meeting the stated objectives as well as in evaluating your association's resources compared to the goals that you set yourselves to achieve.

Please define who your target audience was for this program. Include in this definition how this audience is important to your association, and the size of the target audience.

Provide a demonstration of the program's success in meeting the goals you defined above, and how you measured that success.

Please describe how you feel this program was innovative for your association to pursue. If this was the first time you attempted something of this nature, please include why you decided to pursue it. If you updated an existing program, please indicate how you updated it, what new features/additions you brought to the program, and why those were important to your success.

What were your overall expenses for the program, and how much staff time did it entail? Do you feel it was cost effective? Will you do anything differently in the future in order to reduce expenses? Are aspects of the program reusable?
