NAA Returns to Lifetime’s Designing Spaces™ With Three New Episodes

ARLINGTON, Va. / Jan. 27, 2015 – NAA and its members will be featured in three additional segments on Designing Spaces™, a home improvement show airing on Lifetime Television. 

The Jan. 29 show will highlight the rise in downsizing to rental housing by Baby Boomers and empty nesters with a look at The Metropolitan at Village at Leesburg, a Kettler Management community in Leesburg, Va. The segment—all of which air at 7 a.m. ET/PT—will re-air at the same time on March 6.

In the second episode, airing Feb. 6 and re-airing Feb. 26, Designing Spaces will explore the expanding niche and necessary amenities of student housing. The segment will include a tour of American Campus Communities’ The Varsity, an off-campus apartment community at the University of Maryland.

The final segment will highlight the evolving market of military housing, as Designing Spaces takes viewers through Lincoln Military Housing’s Challenger Estates, a community serving those stationed at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River in St. Mary’s County, Md. The episode will air March 5 and re-air March 19.

In addition to interviews at each community with both apartment management professionals and residents, all three segments will also feature NAA President and CEO Doug Culkin, CAE. Culkin will address the state of the multifamily housing industry and the importance of these niche markets.
