National Awards Program Recognizes Apartment Industry’s Best

ARLINGTON, Va., April 23, 2013—The National Apartment Association (NAA) is pleased to announce the 2013 PARAGON award winners. The annual awards program recognizes the multifamily housing industry’s top communities, executives, employees and affiliate programs.
The winners will be recognized during the Awards breakfast with Bert Jacobs on Saturday, June 22, during the 2013 NAA Education Conference & Exposition in San Diego. The NAA PARAGON Awards recognition also will include the announcement of the NAA Community of the Year during the breakfast. The winner will be chosen among the communities that won category-specific PARAGON Awards listed below.

The NAA Education Institute (NAAEI) is also pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 ACE Awards, which recognize outstanding achievement in the field of apartment career development and/or contributions made to, or on behalf of, the NAAEI, and its professional education interests and initiatives. Debbie Phillips, PhD, University of Georgia and Georgia Tech, Stockbridge, Ga., was awarded the Apartment Industry Educator ACE Award. Jeff Lowry (CAPS), Madera Residential, Lubbock, Texas, received the Apartment Industry Practitioner ACE Award.
Finally, the Anthony V. Pusateri Apartment Career Promotion Award recognizes an individual, a company or an association who has made the biggest impact creating awareness of careers in the apartment industry among high school and college students, military veterans and spouses or career changers through outreach activities. The Arizona Multihousing Association was awarded the Comprehensive Apartment Career Promotion Award, and the Charleston Apartment Association was awarded the Single Apartment Career Promotion Event Award.
