ARLINGTON, Va., July 2, 2013—The National Apartment Association (NAA), America’s leading advocate for quality rental housing, has hired Rebecca M. (Becky) Sullivan as its Vice President of Communications and Marketing.
In this new position, Sullivan will be responsible for creating a comprehensive, cross-organization communications and marketing strategy
Sullivan has worked in the trade association, government, corporate and political sectors during her career, including the International Council of Shopping Centers, The Mills Corporation, the White House and Capitol Hill. Most recently, Sullivan served as the Communications Director for Reconnecting America, a nonprofit that focuses on transit-oriented development, where she managed a successful rebranding effort, oversaw website redesign and coordinated all press activity.
“Becky Sullivan’s diverse professional experience is an invaluable asset as NAA moves from first-class to world-class,” NAA President Douglas S. Culkin, CAE, said. “Her proven success in media relations will help our industry spread the message that NAA is the leading advocate for quality rental housing—a desirable choice for 35 million residents.”
Sullivan received her Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. She resides in Alexandria, Va. with her husband and two sons.
