Greystar has launched a national fundraising drive to support the PTSD Foundation of America’s Camp Hope—a program dedicated to serving the needs of veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition to providing temporary housing, Camp Hope offers a resident recovery program, individual mentoring sessions with certified combat trauma mentors, job placement and peer support groups.
“We are proud to support the work of Camp Hope and their efforts to make a difference in the lives of so many veterans and their families,” said Doug Brown, Global Managing Director of Capital Projects for Greystar. “With the help of our team members, residents and the community, we hope to increase awareness of PTSD and the programs available to assist veterans.”
Greystar's Houston team members began working with the PTSD Foundation of America in February 2011, and the partnership has grown tremendously over the last three years. Greystar was instrumental in the development and construction of a new five-acre campus for Camp Hope. Greystar has also hired veterans who have gone through the program at Camp Hope.
