ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 12, 2013 – Dallas real estate professional Brad Williams, CPM, Lincoln Property Company, was sworn in as 2014 National Apartment Association (NAA) Chairman of the Board during a ceremony Nov. 8 at The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas.
“I am honored to serve as NAA’s Chairman of the Board as we enter our 75th year,” said Williams, who has 40 years’ experience as an apartment industry professional with Lincoln Property Company. “Having risen up through my local and state affiliates to volunteer at the national level, I have seen firsthand the benefits NAA delivers to the apartment industry in areas such as training, education and legislative advocacy. During my term I look forward to representing the over 63,000 NAA members who represent over 7 million apartment homes.”
Williams, who graduated from the University of Texas in 1972, currently serves as Lincoln Property Company’s Regional Vice President, Southwest Region, overseeing 53,000 units and 1,200 employees. He served as President of both the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas and the Texas Apartment Association. He became an NAA delegate in 1990, and has since been actively involved in NAA’s legislative and government affairs efforts.
“Brad is a politically proactive leader who is dedicated to serving and protecting our industry,” NAA President and CEO Doug Culkin, CAE, said. “I am positive his intelligence, integrity and experience will serve us well in the year ahead.”
Also sworn in to serve on the 2014 NAA Board of Directors were Tom Beaton, CPM, of The Dolben Co., Boston, Chairman-Elect; Marc Ross of Bob Ross Realty, San Antonio, Texas, Vice Chairman; Cindy Clare, CPM, of Kettler Management, McLean, Va., Treasurer; and Jeff Lowry, CAPS, of Madera Companies, Lubbock, Texas, Secretary.
