Maintenance Mania® Competitor Information
Maintenance Mania® is a national program offered by the National Apartment Association (NAA) and presented by HD Supply (HDS), where maintenance technicians are able to compete against each other in various skill-based games.

Maintenance Mania® Games
There are seven events that are standard for all Maintenance Mania® programs. Each race is open to every Maintenance Mania® participant:
- Blind Tool Identification
- Garbage Disposer Installation
- Faucet Installation
- Light Bulb Installation
- Lockset Installation
- Smoke Alarm Installation
- Race Car Competition
Awards are given to the three fastest competitors in each of the seven events.
Maintenance Mania® National Championship Qualifying Awards
Maintenance Mania® participants who declare their interests in competing for the National Championship Qualifying Competition MUST compete in all 6 skill competitions and enter a car in the race car competition.
- Awarded to the three fastest competitors in the National Championship Qualifying Program
- A total of 3 awards will be presented – 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
- Race Car Design Awards are given to the individuals who receive the highest total votes for the following categories:
~ "Best Use of Maintenance Supplies"
~ "Best Design"
Individuals are NOT allowed to compete in more than one Maintenance Mania® event per year.
National Winners
The top finalists asked to compete in the Maintenance Mania® National Championships 2008 will receive free air fare, 4 night hotel stay, and registration to the NAA Educational Conference and Exposition in Orlando.
National Championship winners receive:
- 1st place: The winner receives CAMT scholarships from NAA and the local affiliate (if offered). They will also receive various prizes donated by the National sponsors and HDS.
- 2nd place and 3rd place: The winners will receive various prizes donated to them by the National sponsors and HDS.

Congratulations to the 2006-2007 Winners!
 Herb Harr and Troy Shelby, Van Rooy Properties, Indianapolis, Indiana Apartment Association, became the first annual Maintenance Mania® National Champions. The event took place June 30, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, in conjunction with the NAA Education Conference & Exposition. The two men received $1,500 in HD Supply gift cards, a trophy and a giant toolbox, courtesy of Mobile-Shop, for their winning time of 5 minutes, 58.51 seconds.

Second place winners were Ben Killpack and Jeremy Llewllyn, Alliance Residential Management, Utah, Utah Apartment Association. Third place winners were Jerry Peek and Isaac Gomez, Roberts Mill Apartments, Morgan Properties, Maple Shade, NJ, Greater Philadelphia Apartment Association. Mike Collins and Darren Sons, Edward Rose Companies, Indianapolis, won the People's Choice race car design competition.
