Responding to the need for leadership training within the apartment industry, NAAEI has partnered with Dale Carnegie Training to deliver a world-class program called the NAAEI Leadership Experience.
Before the program, participants complete an assessment, Profiles Performance Indicator, which helps them focus on developing skills and changing behaviors. A post program assessment will measure training effectiveness. Participants commit to their manager to improve a system or process that will lead to a measurable ROI. Participants share their progress, by webinar, 60 days after the program concludes.

NAAEI has created two new scholarships for the NAAEI Leadership Experience. All scholarship applications must be submitted by COB March 14, 2014 to Kimberly McCrossen.

"Executives recognized that while most companies do a good job training onsite staff, when onsite staff are promoted to regional or corporate department positions, few companies have training programs that help turn that good manager into a successful leader who will inspire and motivate, rather than direct and dictate.
If you work in a regional position or as a corporate department head and would like to learn how to lead effectively across generations, delegate tasks to develop and train others and most importantly, find time to work on future business growth, The NAAEI Leadership Experience is an investment that will pay dividends. Sixty days after completing the NAAEI Leadership Experience, participants meet with their Dale Carnegie facilitator by conference call to discuss how they have implemented what they learned and share the results of this effort. These are actual results reported on a conference call:
Ercell Charles, Master Trainer/Executive Coach
Ercell is the Vice President of Instruction and a Dale Carnegie Master Trainer for Dale Carnegie of Georgia where his responsibilities include direction of 25 trainers and 200 volunteer Class Coaches to deliver all Dale Carnegie training programs. He has facilitated programs for AT&T, Coca Cola, BELLSOUTH, United Parcel Service (UPS), GSA, BMW, CDC, REEBOK, Home Depot and many other successful Fortune 500 companies. Ercell has been regarded as a rapport builder, someone who is able to break down barriers and build bridges with messages and insights that transcend cultural and organizational differences.
To improve NAAEI Leadership Experience facilitation, Ercell met with apartment industry regional employees and corporate department heads in Atlanta and Dallas in order to understand the unique challenges of property management.
