Digested From "Green Group Pushes Business Recycling"

In Kentucky two years ago, a group of Campbell County launched Go Green Campbell to address various environmental issues. Having had some initial success, the group is now intensifying its efforts to convince more apartment communities and businesses to recycle, especially those in Fort Thomas. Go Green Campbell member Julia Neundorfer remarks, "We see the waste on the street and all the cardboard boxes piled outside businesses [and apartments]." Members' first task will be to take an inventory of those that exhibit eco-friendly practices and those that do not. Those that do will receive a special label to put in their windows to show the economic benefits of going green. The organization is now seeking grants to build such projects as a community garden. Additionally, Go Green Campbell wants to initiate a bicycle sharing program in and around Fort Thomas.
