Testing Programs 

Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (Fair Housing Act), as amended (Fair Housing Amendments Act), makes it unlaw-ful to discriminate in the sale, rental advertising or financing of most housing based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status and national origin. Testing for compliance with the Fair Housing Act is a common tool used by federal, state and local enforcement agencies to identify and remedy housing discrimination practices.
