ARLINGTON, Va. / September 14, 2010 – The nation’s apartment industry now has a new comprehensive resource with everything you need to know about and be prepared for the upcoming fall elections.

Through the National Apartment Association’s website, www.apartmentvotescount.org, you can register to vote, learn about your candidates for state or federal offices, and apply to vote using an absentee ballot.

To learn about your local candidates, you can click on the right link, “My Candidates for Election (Project Vote Smart).”  A citizens’ organization dedicated to serving Americans with accurate and unbiased information for electoral decision-making operates this website at www.votesmart.org.

NAA’s “Apartment Votes Count” website also provides:

• A continuous news feed with information about election races and housing industry updates

• Briefs on all key issues facing the apartment industry, many currently before Congress

• A quick poll to find out how you and your fellow apartment workers think on key topics
The Web site’s banner promotes the message:  “We grow stronger every day.”  The message signifies the strength that the nation’s approximately one million apartment industry workers have in making a critical difference in the Tuesday, November 2 elections by getting out the vote.

NAA thanks the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for its assistance in developing www.apartmentvotescount.org.
