Government Affairs HotSheet
The Government Affairs Department produces a monthly Hotsheet to identify for members important state and local policy issues that are being discussed around the country. The Hotsheet also provides information on the national policymaking organizations that the department is monitoring. The department gathers information from state and local affiliate newsletters, Web sites, national news sources and its own tracking systems to compile the Hotsheet. Readers use the contact information on each item to get in touch with those who have experience with the various state and local policy issues.

Mold Action Kit
In response to the apartment industry's growing demand for information about managing mold issues, NAA's Government Affairs Department developed the Mold Action Kit in August 2001 as part of its integrated Mold Action Plan. The NAA Mold Action Kit is a compilation of resources from NAA, government agencies and private contributors that provides information about what mold is, how certain types of mold can affect indoor air quality (IAQ) and what apartment owners and managers can do to educate their residents about mold and protect resident by managing mold issues in their apartment communities.
