NAAEI Presents Apartment Industry Tour to JAG Teachers
New Orleans
In August 2008, NAA Education Institute staff travelled to New Orleans to present Jobs for America's Graduates teachers with a unique opportunity: meeting apartment employees in Management, Maintenance and Leasing career paths and touring an amenity-rich apartment community.
NAAEI organized the tour with 55 JAG teachers from around the country, taking them by charter bus to The Saulet, a Greystar property in New Orleans. The teachers watched NAAEI's career videos en route and were greeted by the staff at The Saulet, where they learned how Greystar employees had started their career paths in maintenance, leasing and management.
The program was very well-received, with 44 teachers returning evaluations, each giving NAAEI near-perfect ratings.
