NAAEI seeks apartment companies willing to offer college students a
one-day Job Shadow at a local apartment community and companies interested in offering Summer Internships.
NAAEI has partnered with Asset Campus and Campus Apartments, two student housing companies, to reach over 60,000 college students with information about Careers in the Apartment Industry. Students are being directed to go to www.apartmentcareerhq.org/yourfuture to learn more about apartment careers.
THE NEXT STEP IS FOR STUDENTS TO SIGN UP TO PARTICIPATE IN A JOB SHADOW EXPERIENCE. Review the List of Colleges that students are attending. If you have an apartment community near a campus on this list, please offer to host a student for a one-day Job Shadow experience. Learn how to be a successful Job Shadow Host. NAAEI will match college students with local Job Shadow opportunities.
STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE A JOB SHADOW AND WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT APARTMENT CAREERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO LOOK FOR A SUMMER INTERNSHIP AT APARTMENTCAREERS.COM.

NEED GUIDANCE TO HELP DEVELOP AN INTERNSHIP? Read our Guide to Successful Internships. Students who have confirmed a Summer Internship will be encouraged to prepare for that Internship by completing the National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) course online. NAAEI will offer NALP to Interns at a significantly reduced rate.
